Yesterday on the way back from Beestekraal Jules stopped at F800 next to the road. One or both the rearwheel bearings seems to have disintegrated.
I have read a lot about this on the ADV forum where there is a LONG list of disintegrated rearwheel bearings on 800'"s.
According to them BMW is well aware of this problem. It usually happens on the brake rotor side and is caused by the bearing seat(hole) that is under size and puts too much crush on the bearing.
Did anyone here have a similar experience and what was the outcome?
