Facing the Fear and Finding Friends (now with video)

Lance and I, along with two others, rode the Winkelhaak road again last weekend. Just a heads-up that this road, though beautiful, is apparently one of those very variable roads! It was completely newbie-friendly when we rode it in June last year, but had long stretches of quite deep sand when we did it last weekend. I could hardly believe that it was the same stretch of road!

If the road had been in the same condition back then as it is now, I think it would have put me off adventure biking or at least delayed my mental recovery from the fear factor. As it was, I tackled it last weekend without too much hassle. Sand is still not my favourite, but I have come a long way in less than a year...
