I'm used to riding with earplugs because of the noisy pipe on my bike. Recently I've gone back to the standard pipe and thought the earplugs won't be necessary anymore.

Although the pipe is nice and quiet, the wind noise was most irritating without the plugs. I found that the standard screen dumps the turbulent air right on my helmet. Sitting in the standard position behind the screen is very noisy. When ducking behind the screen or standing up with the full wind blast hitting me head-on it's much quieter.

I'm now gonna take the screen off completely to see what it feels like when going on my 200km round trip planned for the day. I'm sure the wind noise will be much less but I'm slightly concerned about the effect of the extra wind pressure. The ideal would be a taller screen.

Does anyone have any experience with the factory tall screen? I don't want t spend moola on it and find that it creates even more turbulance than the standard screen. It's bloody ugly too but I can live with that if it's worth it.  Are the any other aftermarket screens available form Kappa or such?

P.S. I've already tried an Aerotrim and it doesn't make any difference.
