Hi, Patman...
If anybody knows about nice sand and offroad routes around sodwana and kosi let us know...
We going there over easter and would like to plan something nice.

Nice trip pat.
Did you ride the Jozini Sodwana dirt road? Or go up straight to Kosi?

I have ridden the forests around Sodwana, out around Lake Sibaya, awesome stuff.
Next time I will have my GPS and log it all.

Dude there Erik runs a quad rental thing, he is one of the best sand riders I have seen on his DRZ400. He leads the tours on the DRZ, and has a little internet cafe and pellet gun shooting range aswell.
A kids wet dream.

I will be there in March, July and thats just the trips booked already.
I dive a lot and when I get my new beasty it will need lots of open area to play in.

If you are keen I am doing a trip from Maputo to Kosi soon, going down the 4x4 trail by the elephant reserve.

The area ranges from tribal land (best to get permission, I know a counciller) to forest roads, to soft sand.
Lake Sibaya is awesome, watch out for hippos and crocs at the side though.

Nice on Patman. Looks like you & Bimermice had lots of fun with the boys!

Must go and show me that place one of these days! :D

Over easter sounds like a reat idea

There s (so i hear) a verry nice route between Mseleni and Kosi,we saw the signboard turning right on the way to Kosi,a 4by4 route beyond the dunes.Between Kosi and the border on right hand side towards the sea theirs great places to ride.

We came back on the dirt road, little bit sandy with a few nasty "sinkplate",but when its wet that road is slippery, rode it once with a 4 by4 in the rain. With the bikes it was great fun!
