Day 7, and the last day, to follow.

DAY 7 – FRIDAY, 09 JAN 2015

Route:  Royal Hotel, Kirkwood, Colchester, The Golden Mile Route, Boknes & Home.

And so the last day of our trip started.  Ed wanted to meet an old friend in Kirkwood where after we would go to Colchester and take the “Golden Mile Route” towards Boknesstrand.  From Boknes, we would go tar, back home. 

As far as I am riding, I am thinking that in 3 days’ time, this time, I’ll have to cope with this and that.  Life is hard in Africa, but we all have to work to make a living and to plan on the next trip.

For the first time on the trip we had a little bit of rain, but nothing serious.

Early morning and the horses are well rested.

The beautiful town of Steytlerville from a distance.

Ed told me all the way that he has family in the area and he was so pleased to see their surname displayed  :biggrin:  :deal:

Since day 1 I passed this station, I wanted to stop here. 

When we stopped, I asked the locals:  "More - wanneer kom die volgende trein?"

They replied:  "Nee my baas - eers ander se more"

We knew we would be safe  :thumleft:

Lucas and all the other dogs - next time, but we wanted to get home...... Ou Bees wag  :lamer:

If I look back, it was a trip full of memories.  I made new friends and also discovered new routes.

Thanks Ed.  I enjoyed every moment.  Thanks for being understanding when I am stopping for a kiekie, and as you put it - my love affair I have with a windpomp  ;D

To you all - thanks for all the remarks etc.  I appreciate each and every one.
