Gives me a bit of a warm fuzzy glow - WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PART OF THE WORLD WE LIVE IN!!! All of this a stones throw (or few depending on where you are) away...

Yes, I had too much of it.

I carried about 5-6 liters in that red kannetjie, and I never had to use it. I poured it into my tank on the 3rd morning when I got tired of lugging it along.

The XC has got more than enough range for most of the homeland touring that we will ever do.

Will try and get the routes posted later on.

+1

on our 2009 Bash trip via Nam I also carried a kannetjie as decoration. I did fill it up with whisky and water once or twice though

There is a spelling error on that badge, it should read "Hardly dangerous"!

Nice ride and read. We must have crossed paths in Semonkong. Passed through there on the 4th and 5th of Jan and picked up one horrible stomach buck. The rest of the trip was spectacular.

Note to self: stop reading bloody RRs at work!  It only depresses me!

Thanks for the report and the pics - wonderful stuff.
