So Ktm Austria were running a special on this system for the previous generation bikes and I couldn’t resist. It’s a 2 piece system, the header is slightly longer than stock and the silencer marginally fatter than my FMF that was on the bike. The Ktm dealer also installed the factory approved map for the exhaust system.
Wow, a noticeable power improvement across the rev range and it has smoothed the power out making it more rideable. The bike is less “chuggy” if that makes sense.Given it a deeper sound than before but not overly loud as I haven’t (and won’t) remove the internal baffle. Only ridden it round the block a few times not properly kitted ( and these have ended badly in my younger years
) but it’s wild. Full test in the dirt come Saturday.
