From the day I got my 76 CX, it's been prone to just randomly switching off at the most inopportune moments. Even when I'm running it with batteries and an external power source. Sometimes it will go a whole day without a hitch then does it 2 or 3 times within a few minutes.
To date I have:
1) padded the inner part of the battery cover plate with some foam rubber
2) bent the battery terminals out
3) coated the terminals with Copperslip.
Does anyone have a fix for this problem ? Some of my friends of mine with the same unit seem have the seem intermittent problem.
Any ideas from the GPS Geniuses ?
