Hi all,
I have a Garmin Montana 650 with the AMPS mount on my bike and the original Garmin battery in the unit. The GPS gives an error message in regular intervals telling me that it has detected a non original battery and I must only use original Garmin batteries. I then have to acknowledge this by tapping the screen and then it goes but comes back quite quick. Really annoying...
Must I take the battery out when using the AMPS mount or is the battery shot? It holds its charge when I take the GPS out of the cradle and use it...
Cheers Lars
