I need to replace my GS gloves - they're starting to die. Now let me say for the record, that they are overall quite dissapointing gloves - the neoprene in the cuff has worn through, the rubber thingies come off (both on the fingertips AND on the backs of the fingers) and now a hole has developed in the index finger!!

HOWEVER, I like the following aspects of the GS glove:

First off all, while being styled and fitted like a MX glove, it's a more than capable road glove - in that it has a mean ass knuckle protector, it is made from good strong materials, etc.

in addition to that:

1. it has a short cuff. I hate long gloves.
2. the top has a piece that extends a little onto your wrist, very nice
3. made from VERY comfy leathers - kangaroo or something. feels very nice, and very tough
4. looks :D

so, essentially, i need to replace them, but with what? This is a glove that's awesome for weekend rides, touring, the commute. a true dual purpose glove in my opinion - cool enough for "enduro" riding, strong enough for on road. just a pity about the issues!

so what should I get? cos I can't seem to find any gloves that take the same approach? a MX glove is out of the question, so is a fullon road gauntlet.

The richa magma is the closet I've found, but it's rather long. if only there was a short magma?

maybe Icon?
