Well the hounds had a most enjoyable excursion up North to attend the WD National Bash in Ladybrand
It was a great adventure with not a dull moment from many punctures to other mechanicals and had a few new dogs along.
Everyone had a great fun time though :thumleft:
Rods bike seized on the way to meet with us and fortunately managed to quickly borrow a spare bike
Meeting at 06:00 was a drizzly wet affair

Due to the delays we slabbed it most of the way up to Elliot only riding a short piece of dirt
The BM Dakar that was on loan started blowing fuses and we limped into Rhodes as the sun was setting after replacing many fuses and not knowing the cause ???
Eventually after lots of head scratching we worked out it was the radiator fan seized

Edgy what front tyre you running on the Honda...? XT644?
Thats a well worn Pirelli Rally Pete

PP - I am using the Mitas Army 644 at present, fitted for this trip and has worked awesome. I rode for 12 hours in Lesotho with Losper and 5 others in technical terrain and riverbeds and was VERY glad to have had it. A champ in the sand and on the many off-cambers. Great on the tar and wearing well so far despite feeling like quite a soft compound.

On the way to Malealea we filled up at Mafeteng and chowed on the usual local russian and slap chips
Got refuelled by a lady wearing a St Andrews private school jersey (Grahamstown) :lol8:
After that we rode some stunning roads to Malealea...and the 2nd puncture of the trip was to Bells Anglels XT, it was a slow puncre 37kms before the lodge so we pumped and rode, pumped and rode until Malealea
Ive been past Malealea a few times but this was the 1st time staying and we were very impressed, lovely pub, cold beers and HOT foreigners! :ricky:

And back home in Manchester she rides a Honda 250 - so quickly became a Greyhound Honorary Member  >:D

After pinching all but one of the 17" rear tubes and snapping the Mitas bead we headed out on Friday morning to ride a favourite of mine and thats Sebelekoane Pass
Halfway up on a switchback we meet a very relieved minister in a Toyota Corrolla stuck properly
We had to manouvre the bikes past him and then I got into the drivers seat and we carried/turned/15 point turned the car to face back down and sent the grateful man on his way
