1) After another flat along the Swartberg road we raided KFC in Matatiele :biggrin:
2) The Himeville Arms was a welcome sight!
3) The pool and beer even more so!
4) ....................
5)
6) Noxious had a swollen knee after buying a piece of land near Tiffendale!
7) All ready for Sani

The top end of Basta was very wet from the previous nights rain. This is the result.

Ja - maybe does not look so muddy but the top few millimeters were dryish and underneath was softeish!! Check the new knobblies have all become rather slickeish ...  ::) Things improved for me from here on with no more bellyflops  :biggrin:
 
Bikes still looking clean before the assualt on Katberg Pass and Devil's Bellows.

I was first up Sani and must say it was a breeze so long as one gets the switchback turn-ins right ... was a veritable highway actually  :D

1. Lesotho was very dry it is clear that they are in the grips of a bad draught. This is the same waterfall as in a previous post.
2. Top end of Katse
3. As above (note Katse was full last year and in notably lower this year)
4. At the end of the Kao mine road (The Chinese are busy all over building roads Kao mine road is now a highway and a disapointment from a DS perspective).

Old chiefs road was easier than last year as it was dry. Still technical but fun. At least we did not get to Katse after dark this time.  :thumleft:
 
Leon's KTM 690 lost clutch on this section it turned out that it had in fact got hot, he road the rest of the way with little and no clutch. We blead it on The Old Mill Route and it gave us no more trouble.
