I felt like testing the Funduro a bit and thought of the easiest piece of gravel i could do. Ahh Groot Aardbol i thought.  :thumleft:

Advertised the ride got a huge turnout.  :thumleft:

Dunno why but everytime we stopped i missed some people. Hope they not sitting next to the road with broken bikes or something.  :-\

On the way to the Aardbol my bike was running beautifully. On the gravel it was a nightmare.... if i had false teeth i would have lost or broken them. Got to the aardbol and tuned the suspension a bit.

On my way down from the aardbol the rear suspension was now fine but the front still way hard.... stopped to let some air out of the TKC. Cool suspension almost perfect.  :thumleft:

Next we stopped at Canon Rocks

We had lovely lunch in Boknes. From Boknes we went back to Alexandria and hit the old farm roads back to PE.

The farm roads were very entertaining with me getting some good speed from the red lady on gravel. I had some close calls in some of the corners but the TKC tyre is lovely. It grips on any shit. Once again i approached a turn to fast and i was on the brakes, lotsa sand in the corner i locked up the rear and powered it through..... with big eyes i saw Jman lying under a tree next to the road and then i see his broken Freewind.

Jman with his dislocated right shoulder

Thanks to everyone that joined the ride. Hope everyone got home safely. I gave up counting after the Aardbol  :bueller:

Nice report, thanks. How did the accident happen? Did Jman tell you?

Great ride thanks

We had to be back a bit earlyer
So from Alex we went to Tamjozi for a bite to eat
Then back home via Kinkelbos route
Where Mr T lost it in the sand a the first railway crossing
He was riding a the back so no one noticed the oops
A policevan going in the opposite direction stopped to help him pick up his bike
Some scratches on the cylinder guard and he is fine

Ja!!

Too much speed + lost concentration + too little skill + sandy corner = crash ;D

You had a lovely day! I  took a ride after my braai to Maitlands and past a black-Tiger being towed. Hopefully it was not one of you?

Hey guys....

Thanks for the days riding, it was great.

Jman tore some ligaments and cracked something too.

He wil be out for couple of weeks. Showed some character, picked up the Freewind and completed the days ride.
Ek hoop jy raak gou gesond, you can't keep a good man down!!!!
