Very cool!! We rode that end August, and I can't remember those epic drops! Need to go ride that again :ricky:

My other bike is an Africa Twin and I have done Grootrivierpoort unladen- it’s still hard work. Even fully  laden the 250 makes it so much easier!

Nice video. Moet sê daai 250s klink goed.

Very lekkah vid ( love the Rory Gallagher track - you’re a flipping music meneer, oke...).

Pondered that big cutting on the left on the steep descent where I saw my arse a few years ago on a similarly laden DR 650 with a full 25 liter tank ...

Of course the vid never captures the actual steepness ...

Looking forward to your RR of the Tanzania trip!

I’ve got a confession to make- I’m not the “ music meneer” - it’s my mate Tony Kilroe that is also the film maker. I’ll look for some decent shots of the loaded bikes, ones at hand are out of focus and not very clear

Thanks for posting.
At least us "Vaalies" get to see the nice places elsewhere in the country through the videos and pics that are posted.  :thumleft:

Joh, dit lyk lykker.  Ek kan nie wag om my Bettie Namibia en veral Kaokoland toe te vat nie.  :thumleft:

Photos of laden bikes. Bike in shed is Tony’s who recorded the video

Great video.
Looks enjoyable on a 250.
Last time I did that pass it was on a 1200 adventure .... it was hard work.

What's your Tanzania routing?  Very interested to know more.

We’ve changed our destination to Malawi. With the time available it is not worth going as far as Kenya
