hi to all
the past weekend me and my fiance did a trip with my gs 1200 to sun city when i noticed a knocking sound from the eninge from 4800 rpm ( i have read the forums about the bikes running to lean) and had took my bike to bavarian motorcycles to check it out on the computer and according to them my bike got the latest software. but according to the person there that i spoke to said that all bmw motorcyclesis running lean but the problem comes in when it is running to lean
this morning i spoke to zambesi mottorad (i bought thew bike there) and they said there is a campaine that they change clutch lining on the bike and that makes a difference with the pinging/knocking sound in the engine, my knoweldge of engines is fair but according to me the clutch doenst have any thing to do with the fuel/air mixture and wont have a influence when driving at 5000 rpm
do anybody know of such a campaine and will it help with the pinging?
