GS1150 rear brake

went out for a few minutes but when I returned to my office i had no rear breaks. Zilts !!

The pads looks worn and I recon i need to replace it over the weekend but,

1) am I missing something else? Is it normal for BM to just have no effect on a rear break if the pads are worn out, there are no metal to metal sound.
2) Where can I buy new pads? Runner ? AMX ?
