Anyone had any reason and/or success with shortening the handlebars of the GS 1200? I rode with my mate today who owns a 990 Adv and the handles are quite a bit closer together than the GS I recently got my mitts on.
I find the GS's bars a tad too wide after being on a R1100S for a number od years and even though the application of the GS is completely different I would consider shortening each end by about a cm. I could then fit risers without affecting the cables at all. I'm quite tall with long arms so it's not like I need to stretch to reach the handles but I just feel more comfortable (armwise) on the KTM
