Race Dog
Been on the weekend on some of the roads that were used by the GSC. The route we took were from Nieuwoudtville to Garies back to Loeriesfontein.
The first 25km were on GSC roads. All the markers that were used are still on the roads. Orange markers.Personaly I believe that they could have send some sweepers and take it all out. The roads we used are off the beaten track but what about the ones around the Cederberg. With it's tourist here and abroad visiting.
I ride a lot of 2 tracks around the namaqwa area. This trip on saterday were 575km of mostly 2 track. And I do ride on farmers land. I have had a lot of trouble for it,but mostly in 99% of the time the farmers are friendly.
But the attitude af GSC organizers are not what I expected.
The GSC were held at Papkuilsfontein. He now gets called and kaked out for markers still on famers land.
I had riden on roads in the Carnarvon area and have seen markers left behind there also.
I know I am stepping on feet here but I want our sport to grow and not turn into a"No beachriding".
People who organise events like this should go the extra mile.
Mabe in a few years time the GSC organizers would like to visit that area again. Well I know a few farmers who are going to get their shotguns out like the one farmer already did on this years GSC.
