I am going to take a 4 day route to the bash and would like some tips for certain areas. My plan is more or less as follows:
Day 1 : Magaliesburg to somewhere in the area of Mafikeng?
Day 2 : ?? to Molopo Nature Reserve along the Molop River/Bots border road.
Day 3 : Molopo NR to Augrabies NR
Day 4 : Augrabies to the Bash.
I will be taking dirt all the way and not rushing too much.
Can anyone recommend camping accommodation near Mafikeng? Preferable toward the west or near Mareetsane?
On this route fuel will obviously be an issue. I will take an extra 5l so should have a 400km+ range. Where is fuel available on close to Molopo river?
There is fuel at Brey and Vorstershoop (Thanks Jacko from an old thread), but south west from Molopo NR?
Is there fuel at Mcarthy's rest?
Van Zyl's Rus has fuel apparently?
