- KTM 990 Adventure
I must confess, that at present I am not the proud owner of a KTM990S adventure, but hopefully will be in the very near future. I do however have a GSXR1000K7! My reasons for joining the forum, is to get better insight into all that this wonderfull/exciting pastime has to offer. I have quite a few mates that have done Africa trips/local trips and a few that have even gone further afield...round Spain, USA, etc...
The reason I'm settling on the KTM990S Adventure - my choice is between the KTM or the BMW1200GS - is that for starters, I'd like to use it closer to home and get more "amongst" it!! I never knew there was so many trails/passes and back-roads in SA! From what I gathered, the BMW will be better for longer comfy trips and the KTM better for the more serious off-track/off-road goat tracks - so to speak! But wait, this is my first post and I only meant to say hi and introduce myself...so howzit & hope to have discussions with you all soon! -smoke-
