I ride a drz400 have fitted 17 inch rims which make riding in soft sand very scary but must of the riding I do at the moment is tar or hard gavel also with the mix of bikes and riders I ride with it more than capable to go were the smaller off road bikes go and it and it handle and run fine with the bigger road bikes in the twistys look forward to hering from other riders
