Yep those buggers took it. Deserved too!

I'm very sad to have to hand back the bike, I rather liked the stickers.

In the end it was a close finish with 5 teams neck and neck. Aparently it was only by half points in th end.

You will get your chances next year, just brush up on your sand riding and dish washing!

Now for the flood of stories and photos from all. I'm guessing others will be along soon to start their own ride reports.

Mooi  :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: They are undoubtedly all Winners in so many ways!

Daai wenners :thumleft:

So wie is die twee wenners ?

Charl Potgieter en Hennie van Heerden (Tyres), nie seker van Charl se forum naam nie.  Twee great mense, avonturiers en bekwame ryers.  :thumleft:

Well done to the winners, participants and those beautiful Africa Twins

hats off to Honda and all the riders!  :thumleft:

I'm sure this event will boost the Honda image in adventure biking and provide excellent exposure to their newly launched model - impressive!  :thumleft:

must have cost quite a bit, so well done!

This has been quite exciting.  Unfortunately my favourite didn't win, but congratulations to the well deserved winners.

It will take some very special riding and people to better what we have experienced in the last two weeks.

Northern Namibia is hard but spectacular. The days was long and hot. The beauty of the place I cannot describe but most special to me is the friends I have made.

Despite this being a competition there is a very special bond between the 20 competitors. This morning I woke up and I miss them all. I miss making coffee, packing, getting on the bike and heading off into the unknown, and eating dust all day.

There is enough photos between the 20 of us to keep the forum alive for a long time. I'll start posting and writing later.

This was life changing for me and definitely made me a better person (in my eyes at least). I learned more in 2 weeks than in my previous 15 years of riding.

If anyone had any doubt regarding the capabilities of these big bikes it should not exist anymore. 20 bikes, 2600km and not one single mechanical issue.
Hate to admit is but Dan was right about Japanese reliability. Other manufacturers have some serious things to ponder and work on.

To my teammate - Minxy you are an absolute rockstar. I have said it before and will say it again. In time it will be forgotten that I was your teammate at Quest, but history will not forget you - you are destined for bigger things. Keep working hard as you do and keep living the dream.

To be continued
