Hi, all
I have recently (finally) swopped the orignal 15-tooth front sprocket on the TA out for a 16-tooth (obtained free - thanks to WD)
Here are my preliminary comparisons- in the attached Excel sheet
In town riding, there is little noticeable difference in terms of pulling from stops, though the 'legs' do seem a bit longer. First gear will now take you to 67 km/h at 7000 rpm, by which time you can safely swop to 2nd to take you to 98 km/h, well ahead of (almost) any cage in traffic.
At cruising speeds, I am happy that the bike still seems to be within its strong torque range of 5000 - 7000 rpm (not measured by anything other than the seat of my pants - my gut feel of where the motor pulls strongest)
Will measure actual fuel consumption next - tank to tank.
Regards
