Next day back to home as this trip ended.
This happened 28 October 2010.
Sins then the 2 remaining BMW oaks sold there bikes bought KTM 990.
We went on small rides.
February 2011. I got a call from Roelfie did you hear. Nic is planning a trip to South America. The plan were to go from Dallas Texas right down and then half way back again. Estimated time 3 months 24000 km. maybe see the end of Dakar. That night I told the wife the story and got the go a head to go.
At that stage 6 of us were eager to go. Loui-gi, Roelfie, Henry, Hopkins, Baiyron and Nic. As time past we had meetings, sourced maps, discussed roots, plan to see scenery, accommodation, carnia, visas, medical shots, looked for ktm dealers, spares service plan, assurance, shipping cost, plain ticket, struggled to sleep at night because of AL the excitement.

So in April the General planed a trip to transkei for the America boys .(now called the AMIGOS to south America) this trip you should have all your stuff that you wood take on a 3 months period with you to see if every thing works.
The trip 10 days long and about 3000km distance an average of 300 km per day in technical terrain.
We paid our deposits. About two days before leaving I had to cancel the Transkei trip and the America trip. So 4 amigos are going. The General and friends.

hulle het n gps trekker op een van die bikes gehaad en het hulle elke dag dop gehou soos hul getravel het. dan het hulle ook al die dag se fotos en videos na n site toe gestuur wat ek kos sien wat hulle gedoen het vir daai dag. dink net hoe het my gat gevoel!!!
hul amerika trip gaan ook so wees.
