My KX250 only gets used on the odd occasion when the moons align and my son is with me, he has no school sport or homework, there is nothing else planned etc.
I then find my bike real bitch to start. Sometimes a new sparkplug does the trick.
Last weekend, it fired after a new plug but then ran full taps till I could kill the engine. The carb was stripped and I found that the needle was gunked up about 10mm from the tip. Clean that and it ran fine.
So in future, should I remove the spark plug when not in use and maybe lock my throttle in an open position so that the needle is not embedded in the fuel.?
Advice from the wise ones please.
