How often do you wash your helmet?

After most DS rides, my helmet is actually quite dirty. Dust on the inside and outside. My question is especially about the sweat being absorbed by the inner foam. Do you take all the foam out and wash it? Cant say that I have ever done it with my existing helmet of 4 yeras old....
