How often does Google Earth update pictures

I have just downloaded Google Earth onto new pc and Has not changed since I last downloaded
it a while back.

Is there a better version that one might have to pay for IE Google earth pro and is it more up to date.

This is the version that I downloaded now.

There are dirt roads here that have been tared for a while now.
