How tuff is Sani?

Dear All,

My dad and I are planning a trip around Lesotho at the end of March. We were planning to included a day trip up and down Sani Pass but I hear mixed reports on the difficulty of the road and the experience required. I am a novice to gravel roads and my dad a complete novice to biking with a pig. Can anyone please share comments on whether we should attempt doing the pass on our first trip? Thanks. ???
