I Love the HP2, but it does seem to have a "latent defect" the forks have "I understand" compression damping in one leg, rebound in the other, this has caused a signifificant amount of claims as they wear badly and replaced lots of forks under warranty.
I suggest all owners jack them up and check for play, or wear on the titanium coating, if it shows wear they are shot.
