Been commuting on my new bike this past week but found it rather strange that most cages keep catching up with me or passing me even while I’m doing an average of 130km/h in traffic, driving from Vanderbijlpark to Alberton and back every day. Yesterday I thought this too weird to continue so I took the GPS holder from my road bike and fixed it to the XT. What a surprise I got this morning!!

At 60 there is a 4km/h difference already, at 80 a 5km/h and 120 a whopping 10km/h difference!! This is the first time ever that I find a bike with such a big variation between speedo and true (GPS) speed. Amazing!

Is this a regular thing on the XT’s I wonder? Where does the info for the speedo come from seeing that there is no cable drive hooked up to the front wheel.
