The past weekend I took my wife with me as a pillion on the XR650 up a nice mountain trail with nice views from the top. Although there are no pillion pegs, we managed ok. Only ridden 25km, she enjoyed it a lot and asked if there is a more pillion friendly bike that is still capable for technical rides.. 
. I suggested the 950SE and she agreed that if she gets promoted from a junior lecturer to a lecturer at the university of PTa that we can get one...
Now, the thing is, there is an opening coming up in her department and her chances are really good to get the job, so please pray that she gets it. It will help us financially and now that the bike bug has bitten her, my chances are good to get a super enduro.
My only concern is that it might only be beginning of next year and I am afraid that there won't be a lot available seeing that they aren't manufactured anymore..
