oh yes, and that was on your iron butt run, to Upington & back in one day.

I think your current GS will do that trip even easier

Ek dink ek verstaan n bietjie  waar Wolfman se mindset vandaan kom.
plant.
Jou trip Red Adventure is so reg in my kraal  :thumleft:

Well said Subie!!!

But is still feel Wolfman was out of line with his negative comments about how he fells RA ride or does his rides. No need to criticise the man. You have done it the right way by saying how you like to ride and that if aothers ride differently or approach a ride slightly differently then that is ther perogative.!!!!!!!!!

Once again i am only expressing my opinion and that is also up for debateadn not to knock anyone!!!!!!!!

Awesome pics.
Great trip report.
I am chomping at the bit to get away and on the bike!
Thanks Red :thumleft:

:peepwall:

Good article.
Gr8 that u took plenty of pics, that really makes it clear.

I have been on some of this route (Sani - Katse) with my CRF230 & it's not too bad .. but a bit unsettling at times.

Ride well.

:dousing:

Magic Charl,

thanks for sharing, I know it is a lot of effort to write a RR.

I am really sorry that I did not join you on this one !! Sani is still on my bucket list.

Cheers

Charl. I see your distance was just over 3K Km for the trip.
We also did just over 3K for our trip but it was 8 days.

Nice ride report. The meeting & short chat we had was good.
Next time we will put some time aside to kuir. Our group was also on a mission
to ride through Lesotho that day so time was a waiting.
The 50Km dirt turned into 150Km dirt & only became tar at Oxbow.
Met a few of the buds at the rally at Clocolaan but ticked off at the petrol station out of fuel.
Next time I head to the Cape area will give you a buzz.

Now booked next week for the final recce of one of the dirt routs for the Bike Fest and then
finally the Bike Fest the next weekend.
What next I do not know but to keep riding.

On the whole 8 days saw a couple of BMW's on the road & one super 10 & one KTM.
Thanks once again for the effort to do the meet.

Those are long distances, respect!

Thanks also for that verse you posted, a great reason to ride alone with the big guy.

Thanks for posting.

Hey I look forward to that and yes, we can do a rustug ride into the Tankwa Karoo. A must do down here.

Enjoy the next trip.

Lekker ride report Charl. Hey... there's only one way to ride ... and thats solo. You really come to terms with yourself on a solo trip like that. Huge respect to you sir. :thumleft:

Really super RR there is something special spiritual when out leaving so early...

One becomes so aware of the creation and beauty around you and you have the time to

take in the serenity of ridng solo nd the blessings one has..... :thumleft:

Red Adventure, nice one! Thanks for sharing. Solo with big distance is not for everyone but I also enjoy it. When I did Sani it was on a 640 but in hindsight the 1150 is fine for Sani and gets you there in greater comfort.

I also really liked your starting in the middle of the night move...night riding ads a new dimension to a ride and it is nice to see the birth of the new day somewhere remote and from the saddle.

Lekka boet ...What a ride !!!! Lekka ride report !

o flok, sien nou eers, selfde fietse selfde area ens ens..

sorry charl, dog jys iemand anders..
