For some time now I have been worried about overloading and losing my topbox. It bounces around wildly, especially offroad!
I fitted this heavy duty bracket to my bike which I got from Beemerman. I didn't take piccies while fitting but you can see what the finished product looks like. It is rated at 10 Kg. The steel brackets used look like they could easily handle 15Kg so it is probably the bike frame that has the limitation.
This bracket replaces the BMW one and moves the box lower and slightly backwards. Pricey at R1700 but worth it as I carry my laptop and other valuable items in it daily.
