As per usual, @Just Blip It! has a “sting in the tail” planned for our first day of riding…..


We rode this same track about a year ago, but it has deteriorated significantly since then and is a challenge on anything other than an enduro bike. We all have moments somewhere on the climb.

Eugene has a tumble near the bottom and Gert and I walk down to assist him. The walk back up and helping to pick up 5 bikes drains my last bit of energy.

I have a fairly good ride up, but somewhere along the rocky path I hit my side stand on a rock end bent it into a position where my left foot catches it and activates side stand switch and thereby cutting my bike’s motor in the most impossible positions.

As I mentioned before, we all had moments on this rough climb. Here Riaan ran out of talent/legs over the rocks. Riaan is a very talented rider and had us cheering him on several times on this trip when he showed us how technical riding should be done!

As is almost always the case, the camera flattens the incline and doesn't really tell the whole story.... It was a though climb and the worst was yet to come
