I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem:
I've noticed the trip meter on my 2011 1200 is inaccurate.
Let me give a example...
Lets say you fill up with petrol and the odometer is reading 1000km. The next time you visit the petrol station the bike has 1300km's on the clock. The trip meter should therefore have 300km's on it. Mine however seems to be under reading.
I spoke with BMW today and was told the bikes allow for a 5% margin of error. I find the difficult to understand. None of my other BMW's had the above-mentioned problem. I haven't worked out what the percentage is as yet, but was told if it's more than 5% They can try replacing the entire dashboard unit.
