She has lost a bit of weight already on this trip, it makes you wonder if she was bulking up before the trip knowing she would be loosing weight along the way. Could be a lesson from previous trip experiences.

If this is the case, I am currently ready to do two trips around the world.

Something else that is very peculiar is her tablet. The big one fell and broke, and she hasn't bothered to replace it, even though she must have had the opportunity to do so (it could have been sent together with the new wiring loom).
Her phone (and most probably Google Maps) is doing duty, without real complaints, which makes me think....
Maybe the big tablet is just too big, and a phone or Garmin (Circa S.7) is actually the best solution?
(the only issue I have with a phone is that one would lose connection. Garmin keeps on tracking...

The software she runs on her tablet, she can run on her phone.

All (Vastly most) modern smartphones have GPS built into the unit. That combined with her preloaded maps on the software she is using can certainly do the trick.

Google maps / cell phones though can also fail. Left Sunday morning on a quick exploratory loop I set up on google maps. Not 10km from home the cellphone lost GPS signal and it did not pick up the signal again till later when I got home. So the whole mapped out route could not be followed.

With a Garmin, what is the chance of loosing a GPS signal?

Garmin Instinct 2 horlosie. Battery hou 28 dae.

Latest episode looked like awesome riding terrain! She uses the watch as her speedometer, that's how she was able to tell us the speed she was travelling although phone apps also show this.

Most probs from previous experience.

On one Namibia trip, I was riding my S10 with the wife as pillion, we did almost 9K km's, I lost 11kg in three and a half weeks.
On another Nam/Botswana trip, I lost 13kg, in 4 weeks, did almost 10K km's.

Any decent trip will help.

Hows that volcano in last nights episode!?!

PS....I'm willing to bet some people have (accidently)driven/ridden into it.

Glo my, jy verloor daai gewig.
