Work done since arriving home this evening:

HID Light fitted
2 Auxilaries wired and connected to "glove box" for cellphone / Ipod etc..
Supply taken from battery for pump (To a Hella fitting)
Radiator grille fitted
Rear pannier racks fitted, not complete yet
Stripped triple clamp for damper - carry on tomorrow

Getting things ready

HID Ballast & globe

Front stripped off and looking for space for the HID.
The 990 is different to the 950 and there is virtually no space for the HID
After trying various options, I found the right fairing had a place to mount it
The Ballast comes with a sizable piece of double sided tape. See the cable tie I added for extra security

HID Ballast fitted

Making connections to wired AUX 1 & 2 to cubby for cellphone, Ipod etc...

Here are the two AUX connections. On the 990 the one to the Hella plug is permanent 12V and the other switched via the ignition

Removing the OEM radiator grille and replacing with the aluminium one

Stripping off the OEM grab bars for fitting the pannier racks and rear luggage rack

Pulling the front wheel towards the rear (to hold it in place) and chocking the front wheel in preparation to fit the damper
