The rock section is from Aberdeen country trax and is called the doodsakker. The section is about 400m long but is is a combination of thick sand and rockgardens.

The boys are doing us proud so far

3rd on day two but still leading!! Manne moet gatskop!

They started so well, lets just hope its the 1300's that they are still getting used to and things will turn around

So I had a chat with Morne's dad. Yesterday was gruelling on the big bikes in the riverbed. The guys had a few dabs and drops. Germany had a clean run as I understand.

Post from JP on FB: The team had a awesome day. We are camping in swakopmunt. First time we really have signal again. So here is the update for 4 day. We started with a towing exercise we completed it quickly with no major issues. Finnished 5th. 2nd special stage was a section of sharp turn between very sand sections. The team did extremely well. We won the 2nd event and then won overall day 4. Closed the gap to Germany to 5 points. Off to a good night sleep then heading back to midgard where we started. Thank you to everyone for the support we appreciate it more than you know.

Morning all, thx for all the support.

We knew going into the event that we were against the odds of winning it a 5th time. So much was stated from the last event that SA WILL not win the next event.

There was contraversies that we as a team protested and made it clear that we were not happy with the judging but it was fruitless.

Anycase the German team rode extremely well, they were well supported from BMW as well. That is always easy to see in any team.

On the last event we were trailing and decided to go all out and put pressure on them. We blitzed the course but made to many errors. Even if we won the stage and they came second we still would end up 2nd overall.

It was great experience. This was a dream come true and we were spoiled with great venues, great food and awesome people.

I would not mind doing it again, but it is finished for me. I will try my best to be involved and passing on experience with the next group, if they want it of course.

As a 49 year old male i am moertoe tired. The stress was probably the biggest issue for me. i will share all the pics and videos in the coming week

You guys did amazing and well done.

It's sad to see that they stacked the odds against the SA team.
I would love to hear a bit more about the event from the horse's mouth so to speak...
