My boet & I don't have the luxury of taking 2 weeks off to go to the Nat Bash - but we're definitely going! So, it will have to be long days in the saddle (see figure below). Plan is:
Friday: leave Jozi at 3:30AM, hit the black via Winburg & Zastron, over Lundean's Nek to Snow Valley. 644 km.
Saturday: Get vrot with the dogs.
Sunday: Get up easy (allowing for the babelas), pack up and head to Himeville via Naude's Nek pass. Go up Sani and sleep at top (may be full, being long weekend?). 395 km
Monday: ride through Lesotho to Fouriesburg and then back to Jozi. 538 km.
Long days. Feasible?
