Goodstuff, nice pictures, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Charlw.  You are correct and I stand corrected.  It is not the Sandile dam but rather the Tyumeriver Dam.  RR has been updated.

No Prob. Exploring the lower reaches of the Kubusie at the moment - some spectacular gorges to ride through. Will post some pics soon.

Really enjoyed your RR. Stunning pics. Would like to ride in your area one day.

Now that's a way to write a report .... excellent photography, which tells a story within a story.

Quote “Crossing the Great Fish River, one of the few rivers that still has water.”
If the river was in Johannesburg, you may very well have written it as follows:
” Crossing the Great Fish River, one of the few rivers that still has a bridge ”.
Guard it's location as a secret.....if some of our Gauteng boytjies find the bridge, they may just strip it down within 20 minutes, load it into their mini-bus taxi and ride it off to sell as scrap metal.

The depth of the valley in which the river lays, clearly tells a story about the volume of water which passed through this area at one or other stage of history.

We need to daily question ourselves with regard to the way in which we treat our environment, because someday our sons and their sons & daughters, will never get the great opportunities, we are privileged to have riding on our bikes and seeing our country, like most people will never get to experience.

“The evidence of human habitation becomes quickly evident as one approaches these settlements.” Is merely one aspect leading to our final downfall as being regarded as “intelligent human beings”.

In this great universe, within which Earth is situated, it’s no wonder that so called “alien life”, does not bother to visit, because they may very well, regard our little piece of the universe as ruined and beyond repair.

With that thought, are we all questioning what we will do to save this planet from final destruction?
