Found it on Knee Slider;

"Ever wonder if your bolt is tight enough? The red dot on the head of this bolt changes to black when the bolt is properly tightened. If for any reason the tension on the bolt loosens, you can tell by checking the color of the dot.

The sensor is simple and ingenious. Beneath the clear “window” is a small pouch filled with dark blue liquid, and beneath this pouch is a plunger with a head painted red. When the bolt is properly tightened, all you see is the dark liquid. When the bolt loosens, the head of plunger is pressed up to the window and against this pouch. The liquid is pushed aside so you see a red dot. If you are familiar with the old Magic 8 Ball toy, you may remember that you could not read the message until the dice floated to the top and pressed itself against the window of the ball. This sensor uses a similar principle."

BTW the Invetables site is awesome with tons of cool new stuff.
