En daar oorval die nostalgie my weer. F$k!

Agree on the support vehicle comment. It certainly makes the riding more enjoyable when you're not carrying all that weight.

Jeepers...wanna go back.

The Kaoko land rates as one of my favourite epic trip destinations, the ambiance, the terrain everything.

We continued to Swartboois drift and had to go around to Epupa Falls as the stretch along the river will take at least 7 hours for a good rider in daylight and it was getting dark already.

We did something similar (https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=25319.0) and arriving at Kunene River lodge, they gave us the same schpiel..we decided that that is exactly what we came for and went for it. Even getting lost en route with a 10 km detour, it took us just over 4 hours, but in daylight.

I think most of the advice is based on 4x4 times, when we were at the lodge a 4x4 came in, clocked 12 hours for that piece of road.

Orempembe had the best beers ever!

Warning: Riding there is addictive, looking forward to your next RR, but first, congrats on your first born.

Exactly, felt the same..

Like I said, addiction starts with the first time you succumb (which you've done)... see you there  :thumleft:

BTW, I notice from your Trailer's CL number plate we should be quite close, where are you?

Beserker that trailer belongs to my friend Gunther who lives in Stellenbosch and we always use it as it virtually indestructible.
I live in the Southern Subs - Bergvliet  :thumleft:
