Ja as ons nie die Isuzu bakkie gehoor stop het by daai drifie nie dan sou ons ook probleme opgetel het.
Doen die start probleem is as gevolg van n foutiewe battery.

Ons was wakker gewees  Of moet ek se ek was :imaposer: En daai battery het bomskok opgedoen na da drifie :peepwall:

:imaposer:....not at all....i like the 800 & the 660Ten & would consider both if i was in the market for a bike! :thumleft:

Just joking PP.
I must say this debate is intresting in that it would appear that the 800 GS is starting to make an impression.

Iam looking for something bigger mainly due to the fact of some of the longer trips i want to do up north and the problem is at times i would be doing 500 to 700 km in one day and on the klr it is really a pain in the butt.

I know the 950 does not have the most comfortable seat around but the suspension is way ahead of the oposition.

I have come to the realization that you would need two bikes to cover all aplications.

Something like a yamaha wr 450 for shorter technical rides and a biker bike for the comfortable long distances.

Two very unlikely contenders are the BMW 1150 GSA  and the YAMAHA TDM 850/900

The second one was never viewed in SA as DS but look on google what the riders do with them in europe and australia.

I am open to recomendations and am not really very brand specific but still view the 950/990 as the closest possible bike that can fill both roles(with a airhawk seat)

MY 2 CENTS WORTH. :thumleft:

Never let anybody tell you the seat on a 990 ADV is bad..... it's the best I have exprienced ... it's like perfect :thumleft:
You must only ride on dirt then... :) On tar it's a *****!

Na 'n AT is enige seat "perfect" :mwink:

There is a big dif. between the ADV and S seat  :deal:
