Hi guys,

A mate of mine rides a KDX200. (I think it is an 07/08 model, one of the last ones made).

Anyway, he does not ride a lot and due to bad storage etc, the rear shcok is now caput. I think it needs new seals, oil and gas, as it is basically acting a strut at the monent and there is zero resistance in any direction. (when you put your weight on the bike, the rear spring bounces you up and down a few times till it settles).

Q1:

Where can I get this repaired and approx how much will it cost? I can remove and re-install if required.

Q2:

Will the rear shock assembly from KTM 200 e-XC fit. I.e length of assembly as well as mountings. I know the KDX has a linkage system where the KTM mounts on the swingarm?

Assuming the KTM assembly is cheaper than the repair, how will this effect the suspension and what will need to be done to the front end, if anything to "balance" the system out?

Thanks for the help

Regards
