KLR 12v plug point location advice

I need to get a 12v power point on the KLR now and need some advice on where and not where to drill a hole in the fairing for the socket point...
Where is the other riders points, attached a picture below to show where I think of putting it...
Is the handlebar installation a better idea? More expensive for the socket?
