As some of you might know, I organized the Cape Endurance Rally earlier this year (see https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=63561.0 and https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=66325.0). I have started to plan the next one and need some help please. I'd like to add more "dual-sport" type bonus locations to the next one so that more of the dogs would be tempted to participate. However, I just do not have the time to find and scout enough of these locations, so I was wondering if you guys might suggest some places.
What I'm looking for are quirky and/or interesting places in the Western Cape with some distinctive/unique feature. If one can get there only by dirt roads that would be good, but not essential. This time around I'll probably require photographs by the participants, so it's not essential that there be something there to ask a question about, but if there is, so much the better. Some of those stations in the "Stations... Our Glorious Past" thread , for example, would do nicely.
What I would like to have is a picture of the place (or a good description of it) and either a good instructions of how to get there, or its GPS coordinates. If the place is tricky to get to, I'd probably need a description anyway.
