Calling all the mechanics out there.
The bike I just redone for my son was now given up the ghost. Like I said I just revamped this bike , spent a fair amount on it and took it for a few rides but could never get the bike to run smoothly, and not being a mechanic, decided to take it in to KTM so they could tell me whats wrong.
Anyway they opened it up as I told them maybe it was valves, for them to tell me the Cams are worn and so are the followers etc so it will cost R15000.00 to fix bla bla bla.
So now the bike will sit till better days, because its not worth doing it up, when I would not get R15000 for the bike if I sold it.
So why am I writing this, just to ask fellow bikers who may know more about this than me and give any advise that could maybe save this bike form collecting dust. Ie can those cams be re welded and grinded back to the original shape ot whatever, I'm no mechanic.

I thought I would send a photo of how I received the bike, then how it looked after I finished fixing it up, and then the parts that are Not good anymore. The last picture you will be able to see the cam that is the worst damage, they reckon there is an oil line that must be blocked.

Looking forward to some great ideas
