I am looking to buy a new 690 and kit it out for a bit of adventure riding but.......I got a little devil on my ear whispering about looking at the new 500 XC-W >
for a adventure bike...
Is this a completely crazy idea or would it be possible to make a 500 road worthy, get a Hyde screen on there, change the gear ratios, fit a safari tank ect? Littel less power than the 690 but also about 20kg less. Longer suspension ect.
