KTM 500EXC-F vs 450EXC-F... How to tell the difference?

Out of curiosity I checked the VIN of my 500EXC-F, and on both sites where I checked it indicated my VIN was that of a 450EXC-F. So, how would I know if I actually had the 500 and not the 450? Even the owner's manual is the same for both.
