My 2009 KTM 990 Adv has suddenly this week developed a short in the bottom half of the ignition. I contacted my local dealer who advised it is unfixable and needs to be replaced at a cost of R3600 ??? I then phoned another dealer who can give me the part at R3400 but is of the opinion that it is repairable. This dealer is 600km from me and i dont want to incur the cost of getting the bike there and then a few weeks later discover that it was a temp fix.
Apparently this is quite a common issue. Is there a solution besides buying a new ignition?
